Hey — I'm Caroline, fashion designer & stylist.
Swiss-Swedish, ESMOD Paris graduate, Grand Prix Créateurs de Dinard in hand — and twenty-seven years later, still in Paris. With one foot in Geneva now, and clients scattered across continents.
I started out creating collections for the great French houses — Barbara Bui & Plein Sud — then launched my own label, Caroline Rüfenacht, à l'angle de la rue Saint-Honoré, stocked in some fifty considered boutiques between Paris, Tokyo & New York. Fifteen further years followed, building collections for IKKS, Maison 123, Caroll, Un Jour Ailleurs, among others. In short, I've spent my entire professional life creating & dressing women. A lot of women. Very different ones.
Today I do the same thing — but one at a time.
My clients are founders, executives, creatives, mothers, women quietly reinventing themselves at fifty. Different lives, one common thread — a calendar that moves fast, and a wardrobe that no longer keeps up.
A wardrobe that flatters you, frees you, & makes you feel beautiful, sharp, & entirely yourself. So that getting dressed becomes the easiest, most pleasurable moment of your day.

Years of creating collections taught me one thing: clothes don't make a woman beautiful — proportion, colour, & the right fabric do. That's what I bring to your wardrobe. The eye of a designer, applied to one closet at a time. Yours.
